I took the week and brought a friend who has been wanting to learn to fly fish down to NC to get some wild trouts. It has given me a new perspective on what guides do. I'll admit with no shame that I don't know how they do it!

We fished Monday to Thursday and as the week went on he got better and better and by the last day was fishing on his own and catching wild trout on dries. We hit 3 different streams 2 wild and ones and the C/R section of the Elk right in Banner Elk.

Starting out on day 3

Manny hooked this guy and immediately face planted into the pool. Notice the wet arms and clothing. He managed to not lose the fish ... not bad.

He did drop his sunglasses in the pool while he was swimming but after a little search we found them and we figured a picture was in order to to document the catch of the day

Hey JT the C/R section fished pretty good. Nothing huge but I think I got about 10 fish that day. We'll get together next time for sure.
