I got out for a little exploring last evening and this morning. I've never fished this creek before but the name Trout Creek on the map looked good. There were lots of snakes and bears back there so you know ... proceed with caution.

It's a small wild trout stream ...mostly flat with some pretty good holding water every little while or so. Not much gradient so some sections are froggy water. I walked back a ways last night for a couple hours before dinner and scarred up one.

There were some big mayflies coming off but no real surface activity by the fish so I stayed with my caddis dry and PT dropper.

Went back this morning to places I noted in my mind that looked good and picked up fish in all the likely places where I could get a cast and good drift. Lots of over hanging mess and braided currents. I hooked and lost what looked like the biggest fish of the day in the very first spot... late set. He was a bow and looked to go about 12". I'll go fro him another day. Here are a couple I got pics of...

When I got back to the truck I was debating if I should rip this sign down or add the words "There's no" and "in this" in strategic places.
