I think its an extra $150 for a guide. I'm not sure if that's required or not or if you can just pay the rod fee. We didn't have a guide with us.

I think you are undercharging :D

Thats a lot less than I was told?? maybe they were talking about getting a guide?

Overbrook,

I went on that trip. You were probably quoted the total amount for the weekend. Two nights lodging and three days fishing.

Naw...I did'nt really wanna come right out and say....but what the heck.....I was told to figure almost $2,000 for the weekend though it would probably run cheaper....but I was told $500 for stream access per day.....unless I completely mis-understood ....regardless.....its way too expensive for my budget right now...probably always will be. And again...I'm not knocking them for the price....I'm sure that property cost a small goldmine....and not knocking anyone who would go do it.....If I had the money....I'd have been there with ya! :D

I sent an email to them asking about rates on a whim. I can't afford it, but got a response from the owner. $275 rod fee for an 8 hour fishing day, and that includes lunch.

That's actually less than a guided day on the Watauga or Holsten with lunch included.

That said, it's way out of my league. Sounds cool, though.

Send me details!!

(finally, an outing that won't end with my rod tip caught in the bush.....) :o

Sounds like a great day, Jeff! How was the fight on those hogs? I always wondered if fish that had to "compete" less for food sources became less aggressive overall.
