Just back from a mess. I hadn't been to this brookie stream since last fall, and the winter was hard on it. There were trees and large broken branches down everywhere from the winter ice storms. Made it almost impossible to fish in most places, and even harder to hike/climb/bushwhack through. Caught a few little jewels.

That looks like some fun Phil. Those blow downs make it hard on the fisherman but provide good cover the trout. Hopefully that will help the population.

5-6 years ago there was somewhat of a tornado on Paint Creek and we fished it shortly thereafter. It became such an obstacle course that we quit the trip after about 1/4 mile. Blow downs that were so big you hardly could get over them. Couple years later, a flood blew a lot of the blow downs away and the fishing was good because the creek basically had not been fished in 2 years
