Okay this hasn't been the ideal Thanksgiving break for me. Melanie had bronchial infection and son had a stomach virus. No fishing for me :(

Well today everybody was healthy so after church I was going to go fish. I haven't really fished the Watauga at all. Fished around the dam but never anywhere else. We talk about it ever time we go to the Soho. Just never stopped. We only had half a day and in the winter that's not too long. The hour drive seemed do-able.

Got there and had no idea what to throw at them started with a nymph. No joy. Switched to 'Mark's Secret'. The race was on. Lots of rises as the evening progress and lots of hook up :)

Few pics of the trip.

This was a great trip for the whole family. My son and I had a nice walk along the river. It was nice to be outside and feeling healthy. :D
