There is no tuffer time to catch a wild creek fish than in snow melt high water!!

I tried it for 1 1/2 hrs yesterday . Got a total of 3 bites .. landed 2

and a raccoon fer good measure

Used a Blonde Tellico with a helluva big shot and made about 50 casts into each deep run.


But it felt so good not to have to wear 4 layers of clothing to fish in !! :D

Looks like that 'Coon would put up a helluva fight... :mrgreen:

Was back in flip flops today 8-)

Gotta replace the pressure switch on the well in the AM and hope to fish an old mill pond in the PM and see ifn I can find a Crappie or two.
Supposed to be cool, will be wearing boots and
socks tomorrow...

You know, JT, there is something about measuring a slab of ice 12" thick that makes one wonder if a #16 parachute Adams really is the way to go....Do you use a gas-powered ice augur or are you old school?
