Just curious, but if you knew ahead of time you weren't supposed to be there, why did you go?

Hummmmmmmm, I reckon those Orvis dudes in their new gear wouldn't trespass knowingly or poach.

Just sayin'.

I was told by a lawyer friend a long time ago, people should understand all land is private whether posted or not. If you go on a persons property without permission it can be considered criminal trespass. That was back up North and it maybe different in each state.

It's no different. You don't HAVE to post your land or we would have signs in our yards.

OK. I get it. It appears that I messed up. I thought streams in the middle of the backwoods on a public gravel road needed to be posted. :?

So you packed heat for it? You knew better, and for fish with par marks? To each his own I guess.

Par marks or not, I'm generally carrying. Heck, especially the par marked ones really. Somebody decides to get stupid, or I interrupt their gardening, I may not be found for days or weeks.

I get that and didn't say that I don't. I don't carry for property owners though.

I'm done with this. I went to fish a stream that runs alongside a public gravel road. I thought the stream was public. It was not posted. Several other streams in the Globe ARE posted. I knew that the Ritch clan owns lots of the land in the Globe, but not exactly where any boundaries are. There were no houses or barns anywhere close. I carried because the Globe is notoriously dangerous for bad mountain men.
If you still want to bust my *ss, go for it.
