My wife got me permission from the owner to fish a wild stream that is not fished due to being in a gated community with security guard. She even brought his business card home yesterday He said it was full of browns, rainbows, and brookies upstream. Needless to say, I was on it like stink on sh*t this morning. She told me the directions. "Just go down Aho and you'll see it."

I drove around for 2 1/2 hours trying to find the place. No luck. It was a circle jerk. I went for miles on gravel roads, and burned 1/4 tank of gas.
Got home and called the wife, and she called her friend. It seems that my wife neglected to mention to take a left the 4th road onto Chestnut Rd, THEN go through the gate with permission. "Sorry about that," she said.

I'll gas up and go tomorrow. Never trust a woman's directions.... :o

<Note -- road names have been changed to protect the stream>

I guess the stream will have to wait. My wife wants to go to Little Switzerland for the weekend (it's our 14th anniversary). I'm presently packing bags.
We'll get home Sunday, then I'm headed Monday to the GSMNP for 4 days camp/fish alone.
Will have to hit the gated stream when I get back. It ain't going anywhere....

Congratulations Phil.

I got access to some private water once and the fishing did truly suck. A gate doesn't always make it great.
