Here ya go. Castigate me on this and Wooley's board if you wish.

Set up camp Tuesday afternoon. Fished for a while and caught some fish. Not many. Tough conditions with the turbine broke, no generation, total still water, and the fish were eating a midge about size 30. I don't do #30. Water temps were very high for the Soho.

Blake came by and said that the fishing sucked right now and that he was only fishing at night. From dark until 7:am. I wasn't willing to do that. I like to sit around a campfire when camping from 9-10 pm and then go to my tent.

Wednesday was little better. I fished and caught a few stragglers (maybe 12) of no size for pics. Other guys there that are Soho experts, and they were not doing much better. I saw Rhody catch one by accident at the end of a drift. He came by my campfire after dark, sat for a while, though, and it was fun meeting him.

The two guided float boats (guys that I know) came by and had their clients get completely skunked.

I quit and sat around the camp watching guys not catching fish.

Highlight of the trip -- There were two little boys with their Dad and Grandpa camping near me. They wanted to catch the carp with spinning rods, but couldn't. Wednesday afternoon, I went over to the inlet, hooked and got a 5-6 pound carp with a #6 white crystal flash bugger, called the boy over, and let/taught him play the fish without breaking it off. He finally got it in, and his Dad took pictures. It was the biggest fish of his life. That was priceless.

Phil
I was down river on Wed. It was slow till 2 when the sulphur's started coming off. Then it was fish on till I heard the thunder starting at 4. So I left to come back over the Mt. The fish I caught weren't as big as the week before and more Bo's in the mix.Hope to get back over the middle of next week.

Yeah, the lightning at 4 p.m. --

I was looking at the sky well before that and got off the water. I spent a couple hours sitting in my car by the tent as the storm moved through.
I've learned to be careful about lightning --- :o
