Left the house about 9:00 a.m. today with the 7' 3 weight in the back of the car.
5 minutes drive and stopped to take this --

Another 5 minutes and was ankle deep in this --

Back home by 12:45 in time for lunch. Not a bad morning.... :D

Proper. Sometimes I envy you NC guys fishing your mountain creeks in the dead of summer. It doesn't seem like they suffer as much as ours do here in VA. Is it just because they are higher in elevation? Do they get that much more rainfall? By now, ours are pitiful little trickles.

Parts of the mountains, particularly around the Smokies, are considered temperate rain forests. Spend a week in WNC and you probably will get rained on. But it does get dry sometimes. The last couple years have been better though.

Ya'll seem to have bigger brookies though. :mrgreen:
