Headed back North after sleeping half the morning away. Hopped in the car and headed by my mother's to make sure she was ok ( She is 82 and my wife and oldest daughter were going to be out of town). I arrived at the river a little after 3:00. I got this brilliant idea to walk way down river and fish back to the car. When I hit the river not a fish was moving anywhere. I finally wised up and headed upstream to where I knew the fish would be. The last hour or so was as good as it gets. I caught all browns and all but one were over 10 inches. The only problem was I had to drive back home arriving at a little after 11:00.

Real nice. There sure is a wide assortment of spots and coloring on those babies.

Jack, those Smith River browns look different from any others I've seen. The biologist says they have been spawnig in there since the 1960's. He doesn't have a clue what strain they were stocking back then. They are neat looking though!

Hey 5x in the 8th pic down did you have a tick on your wrist just above the adipose fin of the brownie? Glad you had a good day.

Peewee, I didn't notice him! I think I washed him off before he got too attached. I am glad you and Dean had fun in Tennesee! :D
