A couple of us from Carolina Fly Fishing Club went up to Blowing Rock NC with 2 of our club member Project Healing Waters Vietnam Veterans. Great Day!! Our proud Vets probably caught 20-30 trout that averaged 3-5lbs...a couple 7-8lb pigs too. I think Calvin got 1 Brown close to 10lbs. Special thanks to Carl "Trout Wisperer" Freeman....Carl you are simply amazing person. Thank you for caring about our Veterans & wounded warriors. The fish and photos were to large to upload here....if you want to see big phish photos,
Google: CFFC Chronicles

You wanna catch nothing but huge fish all day long....Contact Carl at: http://www.mountainstocoast.com

You got to fish Terry Troy's water. Heheh. I haven't been there in a few years. We all used to call it "Jurrasic Park."
Looks like a great day.

Yep....Terry's Jurrasic trout farm...I think he feeds them 10" trout, its kind of insane catching so many big fish all day long...talk about laughing your butt off. At one point all four of us had fish on at the same time, it was funny watching Carl run around with his net tripping over rocks...he netted 2 at a time!!

Yep. I caught a rainbow that went over 8 pounds with a 5 weight rod there several years ago. After a long tussle, Carl told me that I had to break it off if I didn't get it in fairly quickly. He netted it. I have the pics, but they weren't digital. Oh, well. Ya had to be there. :D

Its certainly a great place to go of you want to catch a bunch of really big fish. Nice creek, wonderful hosts the Troy's are, super people. Perfect place for a beginner fly fisher to go to catch the fly fishing bug....so to speak. Perfect place for a husband & wife to spend the night too, nice guest cabin. Excellent place to take PHW Vets or active duty wounded warriors with limited mobility too.

I highly recommend, its well worth it.
