Well, I tend to agree that without the carcass to get a DNA sample from, we're just guessing. A coy-dog is a definite possibility that I hadn't thought of....

Personally, I don't care if it was wolf or not.
I've seen deer, elk, bear, and wild hogs in the Smokies.
I just liked the trout pics.
Jason, you are a fine fisherman. Bradley's Fork and Kephart Prong are heavily fished and difficult. You did a fine job to catch so many wild trout in your spare time away from your wife and girls. Glad you had a relaxing vacation! :)

I would guess a coy-dog also.

I have actually seen a Red Wolf in the wild and they are rust colored
