Not been shooting enough pics to warrant a post. Needed to combine images from a couple of events this fall.

I'll start with the oldest and strangest.
In remote parts of Pisgah I don't usually see females in bathing suits putting on wet suits and snorkels (not that we minded) unless they have a tube or a canoe.
These folks were actually gearing up to record data on Hellbenders.
Not something you see everyday.
Plus: I now have a really bulletproof excuse for not catching fish: The Hellbender survey people messed us up.

I have been to the SoHo a couple of times over the past few weeks. Water levels finally cooperating for some wading.

I have heard of tiny. But....
My bug is a #18.
What size does the BWO look like to you?
Do you think my bug is too big?
Is that why I don't catch fish?
BTW, all you bug-crafters out there note the color. And I don't believe there is a color shift in the photo since my bug is the same color in photo and in real life.

A few mood shots and hero shots:

And my fav for last: (and for all the image purists out there: No PP. If you have seen a SoHo Rocket you know that they can look like this.)

THANKS for looking and thanks for sharing this great sport w me. See you soon.

Nice shots, Ben.

What success I've had on the SoHo was with size 18 BWO's. Blake told me to keep the body slender. I can see why.

Thanks Bob!
Yep, GQ is a great fisherman. I have earned a lot from him.

And did your ears burn today? Three of us were on a certain Ashe Co. DH stream and the Kids and Dads event came up.
Lovely day to fish. Not crowded. Water is low and slow.

Beautiful pics Ben. Thanks for capturing a couple of memories from a river that yields multiplied thousands. Some of the best times I have had on and off the water has been with many on this board. Thanks for taking the time to post some nice pics. Your picture taking skillz are getting really good .
