Anyone been by Helton Creek the past day or two? What's it looking like? I was thinking about going, one day this week, but it's a long drive to find that it's blown out and unfishable....

Six inches (or a little more) high, and a bit off color is fine, but a raging torrent of muddy water won't work. Any feed back is appreciated.

ton of rain up there this week. Probably better by the weekend if the rain slacks off. Richard may chime in, he usually has good intel.

The gauge on the New River, near Jefferson, pretty much tells the story. Helton, Wilson, Elk, Horse, etc. must all be running high.
