I was able to get out with the newly completed Leonard #804 and give it a go. What an awesome taper. I paired it with a WF4 and it casted everything from a dry to a dry/dropper to a WB really nicely. I'm super impressed by the quality of the blank for $150.

My friend Adam and I hit a small wild stream in the morning and then stopped briefly at a larger stocked stream. We missed and lost more than we landed but had a lot of fun and got a bunch of little wild Bows and Browns. Only 1 stocker at that stream but we only hit it for a half hour or so.

First fish on the new build:

*** I messed up on the rod build in a hilarious way! Whoever spots it first I will donate a case of this awesome beer to the PFF in their name.

Phil got it
Cut that SOB off there and put it under the spine and not on top of it. Phil quit drinking, but bring the suds anyway

Back to cave

HAHA yep JT... Phil nailed it. I am such a dumb ass.

Me: What the Mother #### was I thinking!?!
Wife: What?
Me: I put the damn hook keeper on upside down!
Wife: What does that mean?
Me: It means I am stupid!
Wife: I see

Phil I'll bring the beer and we'll drink one in your honor.

Ralph in relation to the hook keeper you are right too haha

Croaker... I was up in the air about that handle. It looked so awesome but I was wondering if it was going to be slick or stiff or something else "bad". It functions fine! I'm glad I did it.
