 Post subject: Bass Pro Small Stream Flyline Field Test

I took a couple hours yesterday afternoon to get out and test the new 2wt small stream fly line. I didn't have any backing laying around so I stripped some off of a 5wt that I never use so that there was "some" on the reel. The line is super nice! Less than 20 bucks and it worked great. I went to the closest small stream I could casted a dry, a dry dropper, a nymph plus indicator and a small wolleybugger. The line handled them all very well. There was a part of the stream that opens up a bit and I casted about 30 or 35 feet of line and it felt like it loaded and transferred the energy nicely.

I got fish on every one of the set-ups I used. The bigger fish were liking the little #20 bead head PT. smaller fish were taking the dry. Lots of fun.

Damn glad the line performed well also -- probably save us a ton of cashola
