I had the chance to fish for a couple hours today so I went out. The weather has really turned cold over the past week but figured I'd give it a go anyway. I got my work done in the morning hoping that it would warm up by lunch time and I guess it did a little but not all that much. low 30's blowing and snowing some too. I worked the water hard with nymphs for about 2 hours and not so much as a bump. At the last hole I got 2 fish that I swear are twins. I got the first one and was able to play it out of the bottom of the run so it didn't bugger the top half. landed it walked back to the same spot and caught it's twin on the next cast about 3 feet higher in the run. I decided to call it on that one. ended on a high note... Both on a ginger pheasant tail.

Well done under tough conditions, Sir!

I'm drooling over the beauty of that reel seat and grip...

HA yeah that grip and seat really jazz it up a little. I really liked the way it looked on the flamed blank. I was skeptical that it would not be good ... stiff or slippery or something... but it is not bad at all. I don't know if I would use it on a lighter rod than this 4 wt as it is a little stiffer than cork and might not feel right on the slow bamboo.

Good luck JT post up some Salt pics!
