I had a couple hours yesterday morning and again this morning free so I got out. Little wild trout streams that I like. It was freaking cold yesterday, frosty but sunny so not all that bad (except for icy guides). I worked a hares ear under an indicator only in the deeper holes and didn't hit any of the water I would in warmer weather with a dry dropper. I hooked what I think was a pretty good fish from the weight but he was only on for a second and I didn't get a look at him. I managed to hook and land a smaller bow not long after that but that was about it. The most interesting thing I saw was a dead 10 point in the stream. The coyotes had gotten to him so I couldn't tell if some one got him with an arrow but could not track him or if he was hit by a car and managed to get down to the stream bottom. Anyway it was such a waste either way. Trophy buck for any hunter for sure.

Crispy morning

This morning was a little warmer, 35 degrees, but rainy and damp. I worked a different small stream that is a lot of pocket water with a small pheasant tail and a tiny stick on indicator. I did pretty good picking up a few fish here and there (and missing a few too). Best one was a brown about 11 inches I screwed up the GoPro and missed the picture of it though. I was pretty numb with in a couple hours and decided to call it a morning and get over to Tim Hortons for coffee!

35 degrees with rain makes for the coldest day on the water. My old wore out ass is about done with fishing in cold rain :(

I wholeheartedly second what JT said. My fishing on 35 or below weather days is done.
