Went over to the lake yesterday evening to check on the boat, saw a few gills around the dock and thought I might as well throw out a fly even though the water was pretty stained. Put on a black gurgler with a yellow prince nymph as a dropper and started catching some fish. The best were a couple of catfish that I will keep for dinner.

One was almost 5# and the other was about 3#.
Nice evening.

Down in Florida I saw several t-shirts that said "Fillet and Release" perfect for those catfish.
