I guess the water has finally warmed up enough here in Blowing Rock. I had a sick morning between rainstorms on Miss Prissy poppers. Every second cast, a nice gill or a small bass.

I had to laugh -- some bait guys were sitting in chairs on the bank. One set the hook, and his buddy said "You got a fish or a stick?"
The other guy reeled in and said, "It was a fish, but now it's a stick," and disentangled his worm from the stick.
"That's what ya call a fish stick," his buddy said.
I walked away snorting. Heh.

Phil I fished up there the sunday after the PFF. I had a great morning, even had a 3-4lb bass rip thru 6 feet of lilly pads to hit my popper! it is a fun little lake.
Glad you had a good time!

Glad ya got some Phil!

Wanted to try 'em yesterday and today in the pond.
Everytime I thought about pickin' up a flyrod the thunder, lightnin' and heavy rain
has started again...
