Took the girls out on the pond this evening as promised....caught a bunch of smaller dinks 6"-7" on crickets...but as the evening wore on and the feeders went off the big boys moved in ! :D I let them fish until about 9 P.M. and they caught a nice bunch of fish including one of the channel cats put in last year....they are obviously growing....but this particular one was'nt at all fat and did'nt have any fish food in his belly like most?? Maybe he just discovered the feeders? :? Anyway the girls had a nice time and averaged fish in the 10" range including a hawg shellcracker!.....Geezer...they're gettin there! :D

JT ...I shoulda measured that big shellcracker that Kaylee is holding up with both hands...it was longer than she is wide! My guess would be 13- 13 1/2" heck it was 2 1/2" thick! A Santee Cooper mutant pig variety :D Unfortunately it took all of ten seconds with the porch light on to get attacked by killer mosquito's so I snapped a couple quick pictures and headed for safety.....damn things are nowhere to be found till the sun goes down...after dark for the first hour or two....you don't wanna be outside.....they're worse than pirahnnas!! :o

I'm gonna see if I can't get Billres to come over next week and do a fish survey for me...and I figure if he likes what he see's he can bring croaker up on the weekend sometime :D

I promised the girls when I got home we'd try to tie up some bluegill bugs and take thier flypoles out ....My dad got on my azz last time I was home...."you need to take them girls fishing more often" He said he told the girls that he heard they caught a few whoppers....he said they both just gleemed from ear to ear. :D
