I've been tying Hipps poppers for the last two weeks getting ready for a trip down south to the Suwannee for a week of canoe/camping/fishing . Cousin to the smallmouth called Suwannee bass found there , never caught one, durn river rose 10 feet in last three weeks or so , highest it's been in a couple of years. Oh well catfish be biting . Canoeing and camping looking good , low 80's mostly.

Well yeah it really is , I guess I'll tie up some acorn flies  , fish will be out in the swamp.
That's one reason for the poor fishing down this way for the last year or two , no high water in the spring . Croaker has some good water over his way but the river here has not been out of the banks in three years .
