Been a while since I've posted a TR anywhere, but yesterday's float had me scratching my head and grinning ear to ear at the same time, so I had to share it. I ain't braggin, but we caught the absolute hell out of some fish. I figured we'd luck into a few, but something in the cosmos had these fish freaking out from beginning to end. My buddy and I fished some familiar local water. Immediately we were on fish, not just smallies, but everything- largemouth, large shad, rainbows, and hognose suckers. We started off throwing typical winter stuff subsurface, and after a while got silly with it and started fishing stuff that doesn't see the water except in the summer. Just to give y'all an idea of how crazy the fish were acting here's something that happened towards the end of the float: I threw out a black hot lips and immediately had wakes crash in from all sides. The water boiled and several fish ate at once. I set the hook and brought a spunky 12"er to hand, immediately ripped the fly from its nose and threw again, this time hooking and landing a slab. I handed the rod to my buddy, who commenced to pulling three more from the same spot. Absolutely crazy. Anyways, we had a day that can't be replicated and that will be burned in the memory for a long time to come. Here's a photo log for you to enjoy. -Knox

Yeah, that one was foul hooked under the jaw, but we legitimately caught 4 more, just didn't take any pics. I've just never had them chase flies before in this fishery. Weird.

Bodacious fishing right there.

We used to catch gizzards in the Tennessee River at Chattanooga on small doll flies, but I have never caught one on a top water fly

Great photos too
