Overbrook and I had a chance to float mid week under what we thought were ideal conditions. The fishing, company, river level and scenery were Grand!! The catchin' was sparse...

I caught one little Smallmouth Bass and half a dozen or so small Redbreast:

We saw a good many dead or dying American and Hickory Shad which shows at least some made it through the lock and dam to their traditional spawning grounds:

Did you get up against the bank to look for spawning bluegill ??

Way late in posting...but yeah...met up with Don early....had a real nice float...just did'nt catch many fish....one redeye...one smallie. Saw tons of them dead shad....good to see a bunch made it through the locks....maybe it will help the next generation.

Got out on the pond a couple of mornings for a little bit.....caught a few on the popper missed a couple of big boys when I went out at 4AM. Seemed once the sun came up they quit hittin the poppers. Managed a couple of brim and crappie too.....saw 4 damn otters playing by the riser....anybody wanna set some traps for me???
