Disco/Kim, mudpuppy/Tim and I decided to do a little scouting on the New River this past weekend. Drove up Sat. morning and fished Sat. afternoon, and Sunday. Caught a few fish on Sat. after the wind and barometric pressure changed. Tim and Kim had the pleasure of seeing and helping folks that went over the edge in a Rivercamp van with a trailer of canoes, and tubes in tow!

Sunday was a totally different day with bunch of fish caught and some nice fish ta boot! Everyone caught fish all day long. Had action all the way to the take out! There are fish to be had on the New this year. Ready to get back up there and do some more scouting!

Ran into Richard Griggs Sunday morning on our Sunday morning drive to check water conditions. $20.00 streamside prices for poppers!

We had the pleasure of helping a family in a new Chevy pickup that had it's two right side wheels go over the edge when they pulled over to let me pass. Ground gave way and the rest is history. Ask Kim or Tim about it. What a weekend!

Ralph :D

Sounds like some divine intervention put you guys at the right place and right time to help those people.

Good to hear that the bite was "ON"

Couldn't think of a better bunch I would want helping in a crisis like that.

Glad all ended well, and glad the fish were cooperative.

And a bargain at twice the price!...

Good to see you guys on the river...even if you didn't take advantage of the "popper sale."
At first I thought it was just a bunch of rednecks yelling at me...

Fishing has been pretty good on some days, in some sections, even on days when the water has been dingy. Old faithful still produces and the other day a Hipps Hellcraw was pretty popular.
