Tim/mudpuppy and I ventured up to the New River this past Sat. knowing the water was low.

Floated from the confluence to the 93 bridge. Did have to walk some and did do some pulling, pushing, and rocking to get off a few rocks.
We caught tons of fish and a few better than average fish. Caught on soft plastics and poppin' bugs. The water was clear, it was like fishing in an aquarium! Saw bunches of fish and plenty of two to three pound fish in the river that would move as the boat floated over.

Overcast skies most of the day offered very comfortable fishing. Great day with a great fishing buddy.

Hope to make it up that way a time or two and it becomes time to start chasin' the trouts again.more before the weather cools.

See ya on da river

Ralph ;) :D

looks like you found some nice smallies for sure. That would be a long float especially on low water.

That may have been where we needed to be Friday We fished down below Zaloos I caught a bout an 8 inch Sunfish, surprised at it's size. saw several fish chase the bait, but no smallie bite. Saw a few nice trout hanging in a pool where a creek dumps in to the New. 2 where around 20 inches. Great day to be out. Glad you guys sore lipped a few

Got on the water around 9:30 AM and arrived at the landing for the take out around 7:00 PM. Not a bad or too long of a day!

Stopped several times to fish holes good.....caught 7 fish on one stop and another 5 fish on another stop.

Ralph ;) :D
