Got over to the lake this morning to drop a new battery in the boat and to try out a new nymph on some of the big gills that hang out around the dock. Not much luck with the big gills but was surprised to hook into this nice cat.

So many boats out and the water so rough that I didn't even try to take the my boat out, hope to next week and catch a few.

I bet that sucker fought! If you put a little chicken liver on the end of that nymph you might could have caught a lot more.

Not necessarily so - We catch them on a regular basis on a nymph at the Pechmann Center. Of course they are trained to come to pellets  so they probably figure a nymph is a pellet that soaked up water and is sinking in the water column.
