It looks like another week at the beach is shaping up for the girls and grandson. They're content with beach walks, shopping and eating out and shark wrestling. I'm pretty much free to fish.
Where would you go within the next few weeks with a lot of time to fish on the coast with a fly rod but no boat? The range is anywhere from Virginia to the northern coast of Florida.
I think this is still a closed site so hopefully we can talk without sharing secrets spots with the world.

The OBX would be a flyrodders spot during the summer. Plenty of access to the sound all the way from Nags Head to Ocracoke. If the ocean is flat, there are a zillion spots to fish without buying the off road permit ( $50).

Guides are available also such as Sarah Gardner

Jack, I wish I knew some secret spots....

Generally speaking, though, the NC coast is the pits, simply because we still refuse to protect the nursery areas in the sounds. I agree with JT, though, that your best bet is to hire a guide that has a boat. If I could go anywhere, I would consider hooking up with Capt. Dave Edens down in SC.
