Pansyman came down to the Golden Isles to spend some time with the family and to try his hand at the GA redfish. We were on the flat at first light, and immediately spotted fish. Carter is a good caster, and on his third cast, made an accurate 50' presentation with the Fly Cast Outfitters 8 wt. Capt. Dave's Double Rattle Flash Crab immediately enticed a fat red to smash his fly. Carter got the fish on the Fly Cast Outfitters reel and had the fish to the boat a few runs later.
We were into fish for about three hours. They were happy, tailing and finning in water so shallow we had a few bump the bottom of the boat when they bolted.
Carter had three more strikes, but failed to convert. Final score, redfish 3, Carter 1.

I also posted a picture of a bald eagle I saw sitting on a post on Jekyll Creek the previous day.

I will post a picture and recipe for Capt. Dave's Double Rattle Flash Crab on my website in a few days. Check back.

Capt. Dave put us on the fish, unfortunately I was too rusty on my strip-set and kept taking the fly away from the fish.

This was a great trip and I fully enjoyed spending the day with a guide who isn't a burn-out or smart-aleck, he truely enjoys his job.

If you go take bug spray they really bite.

These rods he is marketing are really great for the money I may have to order one.

Thanks again
CP :D

Great stuff gents. Rod wrapper, do you ever spend any time out a Village Creek Landing in one of those rocking chairs with a cold beer? I think I could stare at that marsh for hours. Pretty place for an office you got there :D
