Fishing has been good in the Golden Isles. Some days are better than others, bu they all have been good with folks having lots of shots at big redfish. I have updated the website with some new pictures and video. I also have a complete report for June and July and an outlook for August.
The most exciting thing is the BIG JACKS are here. I spotted the first school crossing the sound two days ago. I haven't had time to chase them, but I plan to in the next few days. If you have ever wanted to hook a Mac Truck on a fly rod, these Jacks are the way to experience it. They average 25-30 lbs and greedily take a fly. This fish isn't as glamorous as the Tarpon, but it is worthy game fish.
August has great tailing tides, the Spanish are off Cumberland and so are the Tarpon. There are a lot of options. Check out the web site for a complete report.
