A reminder to all concerned, the Southeaster Council of the FFF is having their annual Fly Fishing Festival at Unicoi State Park on Friday and Saturday June 3 and 4. This event is sort of like the Flyfishing Show, with exhibitors, vendors, and fly tying demonstrations. In addition, this being the FFF, there will be a number casting seminars, and some on-stream fishing clinics. Last year there were some great deals on rod blanks and reels. On top of all this, there will be a banquet and auction on Sat. evening. Some great stuff has been donated by our many guide services, shops and commercial supporters.

New this year is an early bird "Fishing with the Stars". On Thursday, June 2, we will pair interested parties up with one of our stars for a day of fishing. This will not be a guided trip, or a class, but rather just a chance to spend a day on the stream with on of the "big names." This will be in N. Georgia, and will require a GA trout fishing license.

The headliner will be Ed Jaworowski, whom I had never heard of, but whose resume is quite impressive. Other names that will be there, most of whom are SEC-FFF members, include:
JIM CASADA,
MIKE ARNOLD, MAC BROWN,
ED CHAMBERLAIN, ERIC COOK, DAVID DIAZ,
KENT EDMONDS, OSCAR FELIU, TODD GREGORY,
REX GUDGEL, JIMMY HARRIS, RENE HESSE,
ANTHONY HIPPS, STEVE HUDSON, BECKY HULSEY,
DAVID HULSEY, JIMMY JACOBS, JOHN JOHNSON,
DAVE LAMBERT, DANE LAW, AARON McDANIEL,
COLIN McDOWELL, ALLEN McGEE, STEVE MOORE,
BRET NELSON, NEAL OSBORN, BILL OYSTER,
PAUL ROSE, CHRIS SCALLEY, ROSS SCHWEINFORTH,
DUSTY SPRAGUE, BECKY STRAIN

Check out this WEB page for more information

The deadline for preregistration (with discounts) is May 15. Of course, walk ins are welcome as long as there is space available.

Feel free to ask questions. One of the SEC-FFF officers or board members will respond.
