It's official, i'll no longer have to drive 4 hours, put up with all kinds of harrasment, drink vile things from jars, listen to guys snore & have no one take me to a brookie stream :o
They stocked the Caney Fork last week with brookies, which they say have the potential of growing up to 15"
One thing wrong, they're running 3 unit's(for awhile) & we've been catching soome big browns, bows & striper under 1 unit 8-) i don't think the 7" brookies stand much of a chance :?
What do ya'll think?

Just think how big the browns will be in six months.

Somebody told me bout a stocked river in GA...after they stock the bows is the best time to catch the Stripers around the stocking locations.

Catch 'em and eat 'em before the browns do.

WOW, you guys are going to have some really big Browns over there, I agree with that. Grumpster, I don't know of any successful population stabilization of any Brookies in any Tail Waters. I know that several have tried but the extreme flow rates seem to only help promote the chumming of other Trout with Brookies. Hope they take for you though.

Suggest that you tie up some 7 inch brookie colored streamers.

grumphy, all i know is the brookies they stock on the watauga are a favorite of big browns and otters. about 3 or 4 years ago they stocked some and i didn't see any of them by the next year. last year they stocked some and a few of them are still around. they stocked more this year. in my opinion, a waste of money.
