While practicing my laughable excuse for a double-haul (My wife is forcing me to go to Belize next week, but I'm told the shopping is good and I'll be able to get daily facials....) with my 8 wt. and a saltwater fly, I caught this mighty 10 inch bass. Do you suppose this is the size fish I can look forward to in Belize? :o

Went there for our honeymoon and fished for a day. Can't remember the name of the caye we fished, but you'll be ready to move there when your time is up. Everything about visiting that country is amazing, and the fishing you do will haunt you for the rest of your life. Have fun, and drink some Belikin for me! The One Barrel rum is good and cheap, too.

Sounds like you had a real honeymoon. 8-) My brother is convinced I won't return to NC. I will do my best to make you proud of my Belikin intake...especially since it is included in the 'inclusive' package.

Had a buddy that owned an island off the coast of Belize and he said the fishing was absurdly good there
Don't forget the camera

Sorry you said HAD a buddy...I would've had him adopt me while I was down there. Bringin' 2 cameras and a 5 wt and 8 wt. Figure if I run into something requiring 10s or 12s, I'll scoot back to the Orvis fly shop at El Pescador and whimper until they loan me a pole.

Really lookin' forward to this, JT.

I have been to El Pescador twice, give me a call if you have questions. Also, if you are serious about needing help with your double haul, I'll be glad to help if I can.

Thanks for the offer, Allan, but my wife and I fly out of Charlotte this morning @ 5:50 a.m. Let me know by PM where you're located.
