I'm looking for a partner for a steelhead trip. Looking to drive up and DIY. I like the idea of Michigan better than the Erie tribs, but I'm open to ideas. Two times I'm thinking of are Nov 20-24 or Dec 4-8.

Lucas- I was just thinking it's time for me to get up there, as well. Never been. I was looking at the 2nd week of Nov. If not then January would be the next time. -Knox

Second weekend of Nov may work - I'll need to check. January is wide open though.

I'll add something tomorrow after I can talk to the bossman.

ummmmm, good point. I bet they don't have sweet tea up there, either. Maybe I'll go fishing for reds instead.

If you guys come to ny I will make sure to show you around. My suggestion is to try to get up here before the holidays. Take a look back at my posts in stream reports from last fall/early winter note the dates to get an idea of how it is at what time. I will say this you can steelhead in January ... And i do... But your numbers will be much lower than early.

Knox - were you available 11/11-14 or 11/13-16? Dec 4-7 isn't doable at all?

Just want to make sure before I ask. My co-worker will be out of the country for pretty much the whole month so I have to make sure we're covered.

Rob is definitely the steelhead king and his reports are great. I'm definitely going to give Rob a call when I head up later in the year.

Hey guys....I could definitely be interested in joining up with you if you are heading up in mid November. I'm kinda fond of the Erie and Ontario tribs(never been anywhere else  ). It will be the shortest route to some fun fishing.

Sounds like we got a crew. I don't think 11/11 & 12 are doable. 11/13-11/16 are a possibility though. Will those dates work for yall? I'd be up for driving through the night 11/12 to get up there first light.
