Hmmmmm, does BPS have a liquor license or will they allow us to brown bag it? (If not, would it really be L&T?)

Easy Al

I know for me (and a few others) the issue is not the drive from Charlotte to Raleigh, I did not mean for it to be construed that way. The point that was brought up was that for our far Western Brethren and deep Southern Brethren, Raleigh is a 5 or 6+ hour haul. Charlotte just worked out well being a "Central" location. I would imagine that as word got out, a lot of local Raleigh folks from TU etc would find us as well.

Charlotte worked out well because it was more centrally located and it had, at one time, a good fly fishing show.
The show brought us together and it what made L&T easily possible. L&T gave attendee's something great to do between show hours.

I say make this a poll and take a vote on it. If it is held where one can attend they'll go, if not...

If it is at the rod builders show I'll go as a day tripper just 'cuz of expenses and the fact the rod show might be worth seeing.

Why not move it around like the Fall PFF? Have it in Raleigh this year --Ash ville next year and High Point the following. It doesn't really matter to me --I will be where ever it is if possible.Hey I'm 3+ to New river--5 1/2 hours to Holston and 3+ to Charlotte--1 1/2 to Smith so riding is just part of the adventure....... :D :D :D We could always just let everyone stay with streamer or Outdoorguy 3 and get the best in the business.

First, I'd like to attend and will make every effort to do so.

Second, do we think Lyin & Tyin would stand on its own or must it be held in conjunction with another event?

And lastly, I would think based on looking at the map, it could be held anywhere from Charlotte, to Statesville, to Winston-Salem, to Greensboro, Highpoint and all points in between. (Winston-Salem has a nice brewpub.)

Greensboro is the central point in the state. I think most people didn't go to the fly show, so I think it would stand alone. My .02

ifn you are thinking of moving it, I think there are a couple of rooms that can be hae in February at a fly expo near a river with the word Horn in it.

A good excuse if there ever was one.
