All the room you can shake a 10' stick at! My wife's gonna kill me if I don't start doing some actual work on the house now that she knows I'm "handy".

Nice work, Knox. If you need me, I'll be digging a new basement at my house.

Here is my mess in my spot above the garage, with a few pieces of other junk mixed in (including my squirrel getter in the corner):

My bride doesn't ever open the door (an advantage of being over a detached garage), so I have some leeway to spread things out. However, this is approaching my own permissive limits for lack of tidiness.

The other good feature is a large organic and well-ventilated rest room on the other side of the door, suitable for most issues that might arise during a night of tying flies or being kicked out of the house.

I found the desk at a flea market back in the late '90s. It had spent several decades in a mechanic's garage. It took some elbow grease, wood stripper and brass polish, but I like it now.

Knox, your set up looks sweet. Might be tough in the basement, but do you have any way to run a few electrical outlets (maybe even at counter height)? If not, maybe consider running an extension cord and mounting an outlet strip - that might be nice to have. Also, you might consider some sort of of light above with natural-light bulbs? Refrigerators are also nice features to have in such a room. I have one down stairs in the garage, but might install a small refrigerator upstairs, too.

Going off topic:

Here is a quick pic of a Clouser coming off the desk -- the nose is not right but it might still catch fish:

Here is a quick pic of a friend (the brown chunks) that donated some CDC (or whatever it is called from a goose) to the cause of an improved inventory:

Mmmmm. Good.

Knox,

I have almost as much tying material as does River Man. I actually had more than Blake until I gave the "Mother Load" to Colin.
Of course, I have been expecting a few hundred flies from Colin any day now ;) Kidding !!

Anyway ...... Don't buy any material until you check with me and Blake. Might save you some $ Money $
