Has anyone ever heard of Develoflies? http://www.develoflies.com/

A guy who finished up school here in NC a couple years ago started the company. Interesting idea - I hope he does well.

Certainly a noble cause, but I don't see how he is going to make it with such a limited selection of bugs.

Maybe I am missing something here ??

Those were my thought, as well. (I heard about him but I don't know him.) I understand that it is a new venture, so hopefully, he will be able to come up with more selection.

The marketing brochure for retailers is interesting and well made. Looks like he is going with pre-made "grab and go" tins, which could have value and appeal for some people. Reminds me of a pre-stocked "day's worth" tin. It would seem like less space and mess for the retailer (not that it could replace a regular selection) and could be an impulse buy near the check out register.

I think his idea is to appeal to newbies who perhaps just want a general selection to grab and go....or perhaps for those who might say to themselves " I should grab a few extra flies...my box is getting a little light" .....in either case I think its as Aaron mentioned for those who don't have the time or knowledge to pick out individual flies and just want a "quick box of ammo" and would be best placed at the register or atop the fly selection.

the problem I see is that most shops already carry pre-selected packages....and many are taylored to the local streams....and most I've seen are better than these.....I wish the guy luck....but don't see these doing extremely well.
