I may be mistaken here, but I suspect that Peewee is messing with us--starting a thread like the myriad of stupid threads that used to prevail on SoutheasternRedneckSchuler.com. I'm banned from that site, but suspect that those discussions are still going on there with a bunch of newbies.

What's your favorite 5 weight rod? Henheheh. I've read that one before.

My favorite rod is any 5 weight. With a fly line and a leader. And some flies.

Gotcha. Let's keep the campfire going until Spring. :)

On another note -- Sunday is supposed to be nice up here, and Saturday will warm up the water a little.. I'm gonna go fish. Man, I need to go fish. It'll be with a 7' 3 weight, however. Should we start another thread? Henheheheh.

Most of you guys are way older than me ;) so you might recognize my favorite 5 weight - an 8.5', 4.5 oz (8642) Wright & McGill Granger Favorite. It's older than me by at least 20 years and still going strong. I love it for the Holston.

I'm guessing that it's just the February doldrums. The days are still too short, and the nights too cold for any extended outings. The shad should be moving up the Roanoke by now, though, so better days are just ahead. Hang in there, Peewee, you'll make it!
