Or should I say hot rod paint job. :D I saw where a guy on another board had burnt a design into the cork on a rod with a woodburner. Cool. He sent me a link to a site where a guy does scrimshaw and stuff on reel seats and handles. Very cool. Gonna try that. But it got me thinking, which is occasionally dangerous. What could I do to the 6'6" 4 piece 2wt that I am building to make it original. It's a brookie rod, SOOOOOOOOOO..........

Very nice. If I had a lick of artistic ability, I would try that myself!

I really dig that... you should definitely put up some more pictures of the complete rod in all its glory.

I will. Someone tell Wilhelm not to look though. 8-) I got a few guides wrapped up tonight. Might try to do a few more.

I looked the first time and learned my lesson, I won't look a second.

It is all about having fun and catching fish. (I think I'll sprinkle glitter in the varnish of that bamboo rod I'm about to start.)

I have to get them fishing more first. Lauren went with me last year, and mostly took pictures and threw her Barbie in the creek. She did miss a couple.
