Anyone want to float the Catawba below Lake Wylie this afternoon? Got a pass for the day and I don't want it to go stale.

Aaron,
The section around Lansford Canal has a zillion long earred sunfish in it.
Very small streamer ( 1 inch) is a winner in that moving water. They will also hit a Bully -- Best color there is solid yellow.

JT, thanks for the info. Is the current slow enough that I could paddle upstream without too much trouble? Wondering if a shuttle will really be needed.

Cheers,

Aaron

I have never been. It is on my list so I was thinking about it for this afternoon. JT might know.

Lansford canal is very wadeable. In fact, I have never done anything but wade there.

Aaron. Depends on the current velocity. I would suggest that you go check it out without the boat and just wade your first time there.

I didn't go today, but can be talked into going tomorrow if anyone is game. (Ended up administering lead injections on some critters and building a rod tube, so it was a semi-productive day). If nobody want to join me in SC, I might try a neighborhood cove I can get to in the Belmont area.

Overbrook, did you finish you needle point project this morning? If so, give me a jingle - let's go fishing. I know a good spot for us to meet; just about 1/2 way between Charlotte and Wagener and JT says there are lots of fish. Or come farther north and we will chase some gar.

I mean seriously, just buy it and be done: http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/itemd ... NP023-0261
