Gents (and Mrs. Sprinkle!)- As you know our show is quickly approaching on Aug 13th. You also are most likely aware of, and numb from, all the damn drama that has been taking place on the SoHo over the last year or so. I'm trying to get folks from the TWRA commission to come to the show and hold an open-forum discussion on the following topics: anglers rights to the river bottom, out-of-state guide licenses, and stocking reports/concerns. These are all hot topics. The round table would be held at 9 AM and last for an hour. This would be a good time to show up and voice concerns as a body of avid anglers. So, who would be interested in such a forum, and do you think I'm asking for trouble if this takes place at the show? Your input is very much appreciated! Adios, Knox

An hour would not be enough to cover that but I guess you really dont have a week to discuss that. Trouble? there is trouble everywhere...
Good luck!

Well, I'm going with it. I just spoke with Jeff McMillin, a local friend who is on the TWRA commission. He's coming, along with a few others from the commission, ready to field questions and hear concerns. This is our chance to have an intimate conversation, which can hopefully lead to something positive. The time will be 9-10 at the Festival site. -Knox

Great idea Knox to bring all sides together. Most of the time when you throw out the opinions and put the facts on the table progress will begin. Let everyone find out what they need to do and maybe- give up- so that all sides are happy & most important LEGAL.

Knox,
I'm on the sidelines as I won't be there to attend and probably don't even deserve a voice in this as a result. That said, I think it's a great idea and I'll sure be reading here, there or wherever I can to see what information comes out of the round table discussions. Personally, I consider fishing up there as a privilege, a fantastic blue ribbon trout fishery rivaling plenty of others yet only 2.5 hours away from home. I hope it always remains as accessible as it is now.
Thanks,
Theron

Looking forward to the show as usual Knox. I might slip over and listen in. I am sure it will be interesting.
