If you can get to a pond after a hard rain, and toss an unweighted dragonfly nymph:

The 'retro' 5 wt. hollow fiberglass rod is forgiving of light tippet and, more importantly, allows me to get the fish back into the water as soon as possible.

Good lookin' fish Geezer.....I have put over 1,200 pounds of food out since romp in the swamp.....that should equate into an extra 600 pounds of fish :o I plan to feed them thru till the beginning of Sept. then shut them down for a couple of weeks ahead of the next romp in the swamp/Savannah river run currently planned for mid Sept.

Have'nt fished the pond since RITS but hope to this weekend. Or maybe another trip to the Savannah (I just love that place!) :D

Miriam saw her first 'flyin' turtle' yesterday evening. I'd thrown in some feed to include a few of the 'ping pong ball'-sized pellets. A small turtle was busily nibbling the big pellet when up from the depths came this gaping mouth. The bass, close to 4 lbs, simultaneously got the pellet and head butted the turtle clean out of the water. Quite a show.
