Alright, I'm swallowing my pride and asking for last minute help. Our show, South Holston Fly Fishing and Arts Fest, is this upcoming Sat. This'll be our best show yet, but I'm worried that word hasn't gotten out. I can honestly say I've done everything I can: posters and counter top displays to 85 shops in the southeast and mid-atlantic, press releases, ads in Eastern Fly Fishing and Blue Ridge Outdoors, messages on forums, radio shows........ I could really use some old fashion word-of-mouth. Below is the schedule of events and the exhibitors, tyers, and artists that'll be under the tent. For those that don't know the show is this Sat, Aug 13, up in Bristol, VA (http://www.southholstonflyfishingfest.com). Only 1.5 hours from Asheville, 2.5 from Charlotte, 1 hour from Boone. We are also having a big throwdown at Juddy's Saturday night. Some kegs, bbq, low country boil stuff. This is being sponsored by Southern Culture on the Fly, a new on-line mag. Check out the schedule below.

In case you haven't noticed, even though the price of crude oil had declined 20% in the past 2 months, the price of gasoline has barely budged. It would cost me over $100 in gas alone to make the trek over the mountains. I have better uses for the money, and I can find other ways to spend the time.

Maybe next year....

Sounds like a good gathering, but I'm limited to going to town (5 mi) once a week now, since the country seems to have a cash-flow problem. If it weren't for Loch Geezer, I wouldn't remember how to cast a fly.
