Guilty as charged, will always remember how you thought that a bamboo rod was way to heavy and the smile on your face after you used it on the stream.
The rod was a 6 ft. 4 wt. that was based on a taper by Wayne Cattanach. A real nice small stream rod.
Drop me a PM and I will be glad to give you some more info.
Gary

Could you build a 6'6" 5 weight, Gary? What kind of taper would it be? I might be interested.

Aaron, you are in good company with Gary. Not only is he the most knowledgeable person I've ever known about bamboo fly rods, but, more importantly, he is generous with his time in helping others enjoy the pleasure of fishing with the 'boo.

Glad you guys fugured it out.
That Jones boy IS a great guy.

As an aside the Beaverdam was that same color when I fished it at PFF last May.
