Weekend of June 23rd.
Location 2721 Wissler Rd, Mt. Jackson, VA.
1 hour or less from SNP, Mossy Creek and GW National Forest blue lines.
2 hours from Jackson River
Small mouth on the N & S Forks of the Shenandoah. Access to the North Fork is limited but plenty of canoe landings on the South Fork.
No charge unless turn out requires porta-potti rental.
Everybody is resonsible for their own meals, etc.
I will furnish 10X20 tent, fire wood, a gas grill, and there is a barbeque pit on the property.
Plenty of room for tent or small campers.
Same rules as any PFF.
Will need a head count by June 16th.
FT

I've always wanted to fish a SNP stream. Three questions.
1) How much is a 3 day non-resident license?
2) Are there any restaurants in the vicinity for dinners?
3) Would I be welcome? :)

5 day are available $21.00 for fresh water fishing. You do not need a trout license for the SNP.

There are some wonderful restaurants in Mt. Jackson with Burger King & Denny's top on the list. Just kidding, besides Denny's there are several restaurants Mexican, Italian and Chinese along with the usual fast food joints within 5 miles. If you fish the park you will be coming by several.

3) Would I be welcome? :)
Can you provide 3 references? Be great to have you Phil.

Thanks for the info, FT! I'm very interested. Will sign up if at all possible well within the timeline.

<on edit>
4) could you put me on any decent SNP stream that I wouldn't have to hike an hour down to and two hours out of (and possibly have a heart attack?) I'm not as young as I used to be.

The SNP trout reports I read at Wooly's board are from guys my son's age or younger. Jist sayin ....

Not asking you to take me there, if I wasn't clear. Just directions or advice.
