1. I really like this blog
2. I really don't like where these guys are fishing. (see the June 25th post.) Most of you will know it almost immediately.

I don't like blogs, any blogs but that's me.
You'd have liked a lot less what I saw at that spot Saturday before last. Two baitfishermen left there with what appeared to be a hellofa sack of fish, many appearing to be slot fish. As it was, I was in no position to report it or get a tag # before they left. It didn't fish well at all after that.

Don't do blogs either. They seem like a whole lot of ego-tripping to me and besides that, who knows if the blogger is just full of well written bullshit?
I not sure I've ever seen a brookie that big out of the South Holston, if that's the river and pictures you're referring to.

Nope, not the brookie, I was referring to the day the blogger put up the post asking for a caption. That was June 25. That was when he identified the location.

After Windknotter's post about the bait-dunkers, this gives a new meaning for the term Handicap Hole.

btw, I don't do blogs either, but if your read Gink and Gasoline you will find great writing, fantastic photography and you will have an opportunity to learn more about our sport...at least I do anyway.
bbbbbbbbbb

Not sure what "handicap" means but that's where I put my wife and son fishing when they want to wet a hook up there. I also step in and highstick some tiny stuff to pick up some good fish there once in a while but it's not a spot I depend on. Too popular and almost always occupied.

Ever since I heard on "The View" that Ex-Governor Rod Blogojevich created blogging, I lost interest. About the brookie, have you read Nightcrawler's latest article in Stocker Fisherman magazine, "If Yer Fly Don't Wiggle..."? Using his signature "fly", the 'Crawler has caught--and eaten of course--some nice brookes.
