The question:
Those of you all who fly fish for crappie. (How do you go about it?)
I fish small streamers pretty much like we use to fish little marabou jigs when I was a kid.

4 or 6 - the epoxy I put over the eyes is usually sufficient weight in the pond where I'm only fishing 4'-6' deep....much deeper and ya might wanna add a bit of lead. Crappie usually hit on the fall...so short strip strip...let it fall....strip strip....let it fall.

Tube jig with a 1/16 oz head
Like Tom said --- short strips and not very fast

In dingy water I like a black head with a chartreuse tail. Clear water........... a clear tube with flake such as silver or blue.
If you are fishing a lot of brush, I put about 20 feet of 6 lb. mono on my fly line and fish just like you would with a spinning rod. Just pitch the jig in and around the brush
