I need an engine for a used RiverHawk. http://www.riverhawkboats.com/b-60procaster.htm Rated for up to a 20 hp, 15" short shaft.

Aiming for a used 2-stroke in good condition.

If anyone runs across one, please let me know.

I would have a conversation with Handshaw! He might know where you can find one.

Bass Pro Shop used to carry a B & S had an air cooled 5hp for around $500.

Good Luck

Are you going to hunt ducks or fish out of it? If I see anything I will let you know.

Only thinking of a fishing boat at this point. My first choice is a 20 hp honda 4 stroke, which weighs around 105 lbs.

Anything like a 20 hp Tohatsu, Mercury, or Nissan (all the same with different branding) would also be of interest.

Jason, thanks. I can't open the link. Can you send me a PM with a cut and paste? Aiming for a 20 hp 15 inch shaft.

Aaron,
I have a pretty good and honest boat dealer up here that I like quite well. Ya want me to give them a call about that size used engine ??

JT, I would really appreciate that. Perfect engine for the boat would be a 20 hp 4-stroke Honda (since it is lightest in class and seems very reliable) but also interested in the Tohatsu line (makes Mercury, NIssan small engines).

Boat is rated for a 20 but weight on the transom is a concern nonetheless and I want to get into skinny water.

Thanks!

Aaron
