It has been a year or two since we have done this. I spoke with JShep the other day and she said she could use some flies for River Course, and Casting for recovery. This group always comes through So I am asking yawl once again to tie up at least a dozen of your favorite fly and send it too me. Nothing exoctic, just good useable flies for everyday fishing. I would like to have all the flies to me by March 1st. That gives you 4 months. That is 1 fly a week for you procrastinators

All the flies collected will be split up between Casting for Recovery, River Course, and the local Project Healing Waters program here in Charlotte. I will be asking Carolina Fly Fishing Club and Rocky River T.U to help support this effort.

In the past we have collected over 1,000 flies for these programs and every participant went home with a full fly box. If you don't tie, you can donate a dozen store bought flies.

Thanks to every one in advance for your help.

Bob
I have tied up a scant few bugs for you today since it is snowing and the wind is blowing almost 40 MPH
Do you want any warm water flies or should we keep it to cold water ?

John it Does not matter

River Course and Casting for recovery are Cold Water

PHW does both.

The main thing is usable flies of a decent size .

No 20's or 2/0's

Thank you sir!

JT back when I first started trying to learn how to tie a bug ...you were the first I set down and watched. You showed me how to weave a fly and showed me what I think you called a johnnies green & dun caddis.Them cat caddis bugs and the blonde tellico has just taken up room in one or more of my boxes for years. Maybe someday I can author one but for now I will just let ole smoke sneak a peak and try to copy.. :D :D :D :D Have a good Christmas up on da mountain wish you well be safe.
